Review: Ipsy Glam Bag

Hi friends! Now that I’ve been trying Ipsy for a couple of months, I wanted to do a review for y’all!

Spoiler alert: I love it!

If you are looking for new makeup, hair or skin products, but you don’t want to fully invest yet (y’all know beauty products can be expensive), try Ipsy. My glam bags keep getting better and better every month.

With the classic glam bag (which is what I do) you will receive 5 beauty products a month and a cute little makeup bag (plus free US shipping) for $10 a month or $110 for an annual membership. The products range from a sample size (a couple of uses) to deluxe sample (several uses) to full size products.

Want more? There’s another option for 5 full-size beauty products every month for $25 a month, but I’ve been happy with the mix of products from the classic glam bag. You also have the option to add on products every month.

How Ipsy works:

The first step is to customize your products by taking a beauty quiz to get personalized products. You start with skin tone, eye color, hair color and then how comfortable you are wearing makeup.

The next part is picking brands you love or want to try. I really like that they give you the option for this step because there are so many different brands I would love to try but don’t want to fully invest yet. You can pick as many or as little as you would like to.

Then you really get to decide what kind of products you would like to try – eye shadow, eye liner, lipstick, foundation, highlighter, concealer, powder, brushes…and the list goes on. After you decide on makeup, you will decide on skin, hair and nail products including self tanner, hair treatment, face masks, even acne treatment.

Next, you will get to pick your colors for eyeshadow, eyeliner, lipstick, nail polish, blush and fragrances. Then you will move on to describe your skin and hair.

After you take the quiz, Ipsy will personalize your results and you will start receiving products every month! You can also update your beauty quiz at any time, which is great if you’ve received enough of one product (s) and want to try different ones.

My experience with Ipsy:

I’ve really enjoyed Ipsy, I am so happy I tried it. This is only my fourth month to receive products, but it’s such a great way to learn about new products and brands. I’ve been wanting to change up my beauty and hair products for a while and I love the fact that I am able to try products before I spend all my money on them. It’s also helped me learn about new products I didn’t even know I needed. Ipsy also has great video tutorials if you’re not sure how to use the product. I’ve had to do this a couple of times and it’s great to see different ways to use a product.

I’ve received a lot of products that I like – my favorite products have been the Shape Tape by Tarte, the Benefit Gimme Brow and the makeup brushes (just to name a few). I’ve been using these products every day since I received them.

I’ve also received a couple of products I haven’t liked – Eyeko liquid eyeliner (too strong for me), jelly pong pong cosmetics (in blue), but I’m so glad I was able to try these products before I bought them. These products didn’t work for me, but they might work for you!

I also love the flexibility of a month to month subscription because I can cancel any time, but I can’t wait to see what products I get next. I’ll keep y’all updated!

If you have any questions or want to try Ipsy, use my referral code and let me know! I know you will all love it!

Shop the products that have turned into my daily beauty routine, thanks to Ipsy:
